  • Which Teen Titans member would win if they battle each other?

Posted by admin on December 29th, 2009 and filed under robin and starfire | 3 Comments »

StarFire vs Robin vs Cyborg vs Raven vs Beast Boy!
Which one do you think would come out the winner?

Robin. just ’cause he’s pure awesome ;)
Although, he may not want to fight Starfire, but if someone else takes her out before he had a chance to, then he’d win

How can i Learn how to stop getting so quickly attached to people??

Posted by admin on December 29th, 2009 and filed under Uncategorized | 4 Comments »

Becuz eventually the boy im dating is going to break up with me, or the girl thats my best friend is going to stop being my friend, or move far away. So how can i stop getting so attached to people so quickly??

Attachment is a normal thing, although there are different styles of attachment and attachment disorders. It is absolutely necessary in developing relationships (all kinds, not just romantic). It sounds like you may have a fear of abandonment. I struggle with that quite intensely myself and it has impacted every relationship in my life. But you know what? It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. Life is full of beginnings and endings, hellos and good-byes. It is so painful at times, but we need to allow ourselves to mourn our losses, and it is a loss when someone breaks up with us, or moves, or decides they don’t want to be our friend anymore. New friends don’t fill the hole that is left when someone leaves, but they can bring incredible blessing and richness into our lives if we allow them to become close to us, and intimate with our hopes and dreams and griefs and fears. And by the way, intimacy is not necessarily sexual. So don’t push people away. We all need people in our lives who know us deeply and love us. Take care.

How can I make a subscribe button thats not boring and change it from the yellow one?

Posted by admin on December 21st, 2009 and filed under Uncategorized | 2 Comments »

How can I make a subscribe button thats not boring and change it from the yellow one? I made my Youtube Music account and I want people to subscribe but like the one that has a background to it and stuff.

You have to be a YouTube "partner", which more-or-less means you are either
a film / video creator or producer, an artist (musician, singer, comedian, actor),
a media corporation, a broadcaster, an "expert", a person of huge significance
(like President Barack Obama) or somebody with a special project or mission
(like Shawn Ahmed and his Uncultured Project for the children of Bangladesh).
    http://youtube.com/UnculturedProject

But that is not enough to become a "partner". YouTube has even more criteria:
    – You create your own original videos (meaning videos nobody else has done)
    – The content is 100% yours (there aren’t any elements that belong to others)
    – You own all of the implied copyrights
    – You’ve never had a copyright warning
    – Your videos are viewed by thousands
    – You upload videos on a regular basis
    – The videos are suitable for all viewers
    – You are a resident in one of the 23 countries where YouTube has local sites
    – You can prove you are 18+ years old.

Generally, YouTube will not consider you unless you’ve got some combination
of "subscribers" and "videos" that when multiplied together can easily surpass
10,000 channel views. Thus you would need for example: 800 subscribers and
20 videos (each with multi-thousands of views) or maybe 500 subs and 30 vids
(likewise in the thousands) - as well as a total view count way in the 100,000s.
The only exceptions are if you’re a college, university, school or real filmmaker.

Only after you have met all those conditions and been "approved" by YouTube,
they will give you all the special tools and codes which will enable you to have:
    – an 875×75px banner for your channel, 875×150 if you’re "corporate" branded
    – a 360×55 banner on every video page ◄
    – uploads that can be more than 10:59
    – your channel-page video on Autoplay
    – different video-player skins and sizes
    – unlimited choice for video thumbnails
    – extra bulletins, links, contacts boxes
    – another graphic for your Connect box
    – related channels for new subscribers
    – avatar / background as animated GIF
    – the opportunity of earning ad revenue
    – always being at top of search results
    – enhanced high-quality for your videos
    – "season / episode" in video sub-titles
    – the light-bulb "watch at night" feature if your "account type" is as a "director"
    – a "More From" section which overrides the regular "Related Videos" section
and showing only your uploaded videos.

If you wish to know more, go to the top righthand corner of any YouTube page,
click "Help", and type "partner" in the searchbox. Or click on either link below:

    http://www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/search.py?query=partner&ctx=en%3Asearchbox&client=&hl=&cx=&cof=&adkw=&search_type=hc_help

I hope you find all my info a little helpful.

What does it mean when a ring is engraved with ‘Starfire’?

Posted by admin on December 19th, 2009 and filed under starfire | 2 Comments »

I have an older diamond ring (not sure of the exact age, but it belonged to my great aunt) and on the inside it is engraved with the word ‘Starfire’. Is this a type of diamond? Does anyone know about the quality? Also, is there any way I can tell how many carats it is, or is that something only a jeweler can tell me? Thanks!!

Its a type of cut for the diamond. You would have to take it to a jeweler to find out any more info as the cut can be used on any quality of diamond. It could be worth $100 OR $100,000. :)

Why are so many people comparing dog fighting to deer hunting?

Posted by admin on December 19th, 2009 and filed under Uncategorized | 18 Comments »

Alot of Micheal Vick supporters are out there saying dog fighting is no worse then hunting. I think thats just a ridiculous comparison.

Deer hunters are not out to torture animals. Most of them want there shots to kill as quickly as possible so the animal doesn’t needlessly suffer. They aren’t killing just for the sake of killing, they make use of the meat and sometimes other parts of the animal.

Dog fighting on the other hand is brutality for the sake of brutality.
Jenn-No decent person enjoys watching dogs maul each other for sport..
Spurs- you truly speak like someone who only thinks they know what they are talking about.
j_millz24-Unless you’re a vegetarian an animal is going to die for you to eat, so theres no difference in killing an animal yourself and buying a steak at the grocery store or resturaunt. Boxing and MMA are brutal, and I’m not a fan of either, however the competitors choose to fight unlike dogs. And I don’t think anyone here would condone pigs/dog fights, but that still isn’t comparable to hunting.

Its a logical and intelligent comparison. Pit bulls and deer are both creatures that can easily be taught to kill in the ring. They were also both bred to fight. They both make excellent watchdogs, or watchdeer. They are both extremely vicious.

Which amine should I watch next? (me explaining what i have seen and what i like)?

Posted by admin on December 6th, 2009 and filed under robin and starfire | 3 Comments »

About the end of last summer in 2008 i started watching amine. it started with pokemon and has now expanded. i now am running out of options and i need your help

what i have seen in chronological order:
pokemon - entire series from kanto through up to date sinnoh
Yugioh - Regular series with yugi and Joey(the original cast)
    Jackie Chan- all five seasons
    Teen titans- all five seasons
Avatar the last airbender - all books
Recently finished dragon ball z and now going back to see dragon ball and dragon ball gt

what I liked and disliked about each series(This is in order from most liked to least):
    Pokemon:
LIKES: started at the end of summer of 2008. This is my default series. its my constant. I play the game and keep up with the show. I really like it. there are so many episodes that is it hard to get bored. because there seems to be no end to it it is nice to come back to once i finish a different amine. I have wated the entire series through then i started over and watched though battle frontier so yeah i have watched a ton of pokemon.
    DISLIKES:
There are a lot of pointless fillers that get old. and some times the plot seems like it is going no where.

    Dragon ball z and continued…
LIKES: i have only watched the dragon ball z but i plan and watching both dragon ball and dragon ball gt. I like how the plot is always moving and how the characters age and develop. Also there are many unexpected plot twists like cell and buu sagas. Teenage Gohan really made the series for me. he was my favorite character. also videl. The characters are really dinamic and the themes are good but not to corny. I really liked this series i think i might have put it in front of pokemon, but it has ended and there is no sequils to it but it does rival pokemon in my eyes.
DISLIKES:Some times the fights last for multiple episodes like the fight with freza lasted i think 15 episodes and most of it is full of talking between the two oponents about how they are going to kill eachother.

    Avatar the last airbender:
LIKES: I watched it this summer. I think this is the only amine that i could go back and rewatch episodes with out getting bored. It has a great plot and great characters. Toph was my favorite character. I liked how they gave people powers but nothing that was completely overwelming aka DBZ.
DISLIKES: the only problem with this series is that is had a definate end. the entire series was geared towards defeating the fire lord so once that happened they had to end it.

    Jackie Chan:
LIKES: i watched this last spring. Even though this is four on my list i REALLY liked it. I felt that the first three seasons were really good but then it droped off. I loved the tailismans idea and the plot. JADE MADE THE SERIES. I dont know if i would have watched it if she wasnt in it. this was great and good be ranked higher.
DISLIKES: the amine seemed lazily drawn, also some of the fillers were extremely boring. the last two seasons were decent at best.. if i were to go back and watch it i would not watch these two seasons

    Teen Titans
Likes: I watched this right after Jackie Chan and right before Avatar. so late spring early summer. It was good. My favorite character was raven. i liked the super hero references. The last season was by far the best. I liked how different episodes were centered around different protagognists.
DISLIKES: some times the plot got stale. Also some times the episodes got a little to dark for my liking.

    Yugioh:
LIKES: this was the first series that I watched after pokemon. I watched the entire pokemon series and then i started over. about half way through johto i got really bored and i wanted to try something else so i started yugioh. Over all it was ok. Some points i really liked and others bored me. I liked Kiaba, Joey, and Mia.
DISLIKES: again like teen titans some of the plot was a little dark for my liking. and the characters didnt really evolve they just kinda existed. maybe im biased because this was the amine i watched after pokemon, but this was definalty my least favorite out of them.

    Over all likes and dislikes:
Likes: good plot, good character developement, nice friendly themes with pure hearted heros, a romance makes it more interesting (Gohan Videl) (Robin Starfire) ( Ash misty)
Dislikes: Dark plots, overly (Japanese) drawings plots and ideas.

    Not sure about:
Great amounts of violence didnt effect me in DBZ but that was because there was so much more to the series. i think an amine that was all about blood and gore might not be the best choice for me.

so any tips or adive about where i sould look to next. i was thinking maybe code leyoko
any comments about what i have said about these amines

    over all what i have seen;
summer 2008- late fall: pokemon kanto through the begining of sinnoh
then i started over and watched kanto through mid johto
    Winter: Yugioh
Early spring: More of pokemon johto then quick
yes i do tend to like (KID) anime

i dont like magma or extremely Japanese things
also i just noticed that most of these animes are older so i dont know i might like older ones more

I’d recommend beginning to watch either one piece (which has barely any fillers), or Naruto, or Bleach, or 07 Ghost or Full metal Alchemist.

All of these have great plots to it and full of fighting, which dont last long. A few of these were encouraged by DB so try them out. All are ongoing currently, but for Naruto, I’d watch out for the fillers as you could pretty much ignore over 80 episodes after a certain someone leaves the village and move on to part 2.

Dislikes: Dark plots, overly (Japanese) drawings plots and ideas.
    Not sure about:

You don’t have to list multiple paragraphs explaining everything you liked and disliked about everything you watched. The overall thing at the bottom with just what you watched is fine.

If you find Yu-Gi-Oh and Teen Titans are too dark, maybe

    Chi’s Sweet Home

A grey and white kitten with black stripes wanders away from her mother and siblings one day while enjoying a walk outside. Lost in her surroundings, the kitten struggles to find her family and instead is found by a young boy, Youhei, and his mother. They take the kitten home, but pets are not allowed in their housing complex, so they try to find a new home for the kitten. This proves to be difficult, and the family eventually decides to keep the kitten, naming her "Chi".
