I’m dieing of curiosity this is a question for the gay guys out there! I am neither a guy or gay but I’m a serious yaoi fangirl!(Supports gay love) Are gay guys born with that voice they have and that’s how they know they’re gay OR do they figure out they’re gay and start using the voice? It seems to come so naturally to you guys! Please let me know!!
if you think that all gay guys talk like "serious yaoi fangirl" you have lived a seriously sheltered life … if you are such a "fangirl" quit perpetuating stupid stereotypes

I’m gay and I don’t have that voice. And I’ve never had that voice. And I refuse to use that voice because its not me. Its not who I am. That voice is a stereotype.

It has nothing to do with them being gay. Gay men don’t pop out of the womb with a lisp and a limp wrist. It’s an affectation.

Don’t make fun of Gay Gus.
Gus is just like you or me, he’s a normal guy who happens to be gay, and he only uses that voice for "serious yaio fangirls"
So be proud that he used it for you.

But in all seriousness, no, we don’t always have "that voice", and we aren’t always born with it. Some people choose to adopt it; and other people for some reason just naturally have it even if they’re Straight, Asexual, Bisexual, or Gay.

The voice is most likey the result of vocal cords not developing as they most typically would in males. There are many areas of the body besides the area of the brain responsible for sexual attraction that can develop as it would in the oppiste gender. The vocal cords are one of them. In some men they’re a little shorter than you’d typically see in men and a little closer to what you’d see in women.
However, it’s not only gays who have these short vocal cords, and not every gay man has them. There are many variations on gender blending. Sometimes gay men have a few other feminine characteristics, sometimes they don’t, and sometimes men that have feminine characteristics aren’t gay. It all depends on what parts of the body and brain got what hormones during prenatal development.

As guys get older their voices breaks and get deeper due to puberty blah blah blah. So the Gay guy that would use this voice would more than likely be the female in the relationship, though not all gays regardless of the first statement use this voice.

I don’t. Really it has nothing to do with sexual orientation. I’ve seen straight guys with that "voice".

There has been research done that shows that being gay might be genetic, so that may be responsible for a lot of gay men having higher voices. However, not ALL of them have a different voice or any defining characteristic that obviously shows that they are gay.

That’s just a stereotype that’s only true for some gay guys. I’m gay and I don’t have "that voice".
