  • I want a lazy dog thats good in cold weather so please help.?

Posted by admin on October 31st, 2009 and filed under Uncategorized |

    Why lazy?

Just in general terms, the bigger the dog the less likely they are to be bounce-off-the-walls frenetic once they grow up.

Cold weather would recommend longer coats or breeds from the North; Siberian Huskies, for example, don’t have long hair, but they can handle cold just fine.

You could go to the local pound and adopt a older dog. They are normally cheap and have all there puppy teeth out. So you don’t have to worry as much about it chewing things up. They also will normally be more loyal because you rescued it.

Rescue a Saint Bernard. I am fostering one right now, and she is lazy. But Saint Bernards are a lot of work, I mean a lot, They drool all the time and are very big.

Only get a dog, if you are willing to put in the time and money. The dog maybe lazy But that does not mean you can be lazy. You have to work with any dog!

Its hard to make a dog lazy! But if you want a calmer dog try some of these breeds ( the dogs im going to list are also good in cold weather)

-Chow Chow- has a big coat so they can withstand up to 10 degrees Farenheit.

-Siberian Husky- not the lazy est of all breeds, but can be a good house dog, and very good in cold weather.

Samoyed- A big white dog, which can be a calm, but also a watch dog (usually a sled dog)
