  • is it true that 39% of americans already are immune to the Flu Virus?

Posted by admin on September 28th, 2009 and filed under Uncategorized |

what implication does this mean if it is true?
scource of quote: interveiw Dr Stan Montiff (?)

That number would obviously be based on speculation and basically scientific guessing, but yes, some percentage of the population would likely be immune to it.
As for implications, I think it is more telling that New York has passed a law that all health care workers must be vaccinated for the flu. They felt it was necessary to pass this legislation because only 7% of doctors and nurses get vaccinated in a given year. The top two reasons cited for not being vaccinated- They dont think it works and They think the shot might do more harm than good.
That is from doctors and nurses! If they- who have been educated on the benefits and methods of innoculation- arent convinced, why should anyone else be?
